About DoinGood In My Hood
In short: I’m just a girl who loves writing and volunteering. The variety of opportunities to help out Atlanta are one of the reasons I’ve enjoyed living here for the last 5 years. However, in searching for up-to-date information about places around Atlanta that needed help or perspective on what to expect out of volunteering experiences, I got a little frustrated because I couldn’t quite seem to find the resource I was looking for. And thus, DoinGood In My Hood was born.
My vision for this blog is to write about my adventures in volunteering around Atlanta, especially with organizations that may be new to me. Along the way, I’d love to also create dialogue about how we as a community can better serve Atlanta and its needs and introduce you to Atlanta-area volunteers who are DoinGood in our community by driving change.
I’m kind of a newbie at this, so bear with me as I try to work out the kinks of how to make this blog something useful for everyone. So many ideas, not always so much time. Feedback is always welcomed! I do, however, update everyday on Twitter: @DoinGoodInATL
Thanks for visiting my blog!
