Happy Thanksgiving

On this day in 1941, Franklin Roosevelt signed the bill that settled Thanksgiving into it’s place – the 4th Thursday in November. What the heck the significance of it being on a Thursday or particularly the fourth Thursday, I don’t really know…but will probably wiki after I finish writing this entry. What I do know is that it’s one of my favorite holidays. If you’re fortunate enough to spend it in the company of people you care about, like your family and friends, please remember to count those moments among your blessings as you give thanks today. Not all of us are as lucky.

I’m thankful this holiday for all of the organizations around Atlanta that have not only provided opportunities for each of us to go out and do good, but have provided shelter, opportunity, food/supplies, and most importantly hope for those in our community who needed it.

Happy Thanksgiving, Atlanta!!
